This cleaning will be done using high-quality, eco-friendly products that minimize the use of harsh chemicals.

  1. General Cleaning Guidelines
    • Use of Green Products: All cleaning products used are eco-friendly, biodegradable, and non-toxic, ensuring safety for both students and staff.
    • Proper PPE: Cleaning staff will wear the appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) such as gloves, masks, and eye protection when necessary.
    • Tools: Microfiber cloths, mop heads, and other reusable cleaning tools will be used to reduce waste and improve cleaning efficiency.
  1. Classrooms Cleaning
    • Surfaces & Desks:
      • Wipe down and disinfect all student desks, teacher’s desks, and classroom surfaces, paying extra attention to high-touch areas (e.g., chair backs, light switches, and door handles).
    • Whiteboards & Chalkboards:
      • Clean and disinfect whiteboards and chalkboards using an appropriate cleaner to remove dust and writing.
    • Trash Receptacles:
      • Empty trash cans, recycle bins, and replace liners as necessary.
    • Floors:
      • Sweep, vacuum, or mop the floors, depending on the surface type (e.g., tile, carpet, hardwood).
    • Windows & Glass:
      • Clean and wipe down classroom windows and glass surfaces to ensure they are streak-free.
    • High Dusting:

    • Windows & Glass:
      • Clean glass doors, windows, and any other glass surfaces in common areas.
    • Dusting:

    • Sinks & Countertops:
      • Clean and disinfect sinks, countertops, and faucet handles to remove soap scum and bacteria.
    • Mirrors:
      • Clean and wipe down mirrors to ensure they are free from streaks and water spots.
    • Floors:
      • Sweep and mop restroom floors with an eco-friendly cleaner.
    • Trash Receptacles:

    • Dishwashing Area:
      • Clean sinks, countertops, and dishwashing equipment to remove food particles, soap, and grime.
    • Refrigerators/Freezers:
      • Spot clean and wipe down the exterior of refrigerators and freezers, as needed.

    • Floors:
      • Sweep or vacuum gymnasium floors, and mop if necessary (if it’s a wood or tile surface).
    • Locker Rooms:
      • Clean and disinfect benches, lockers, and shower areas.
    • Trash Receptacles:
      • Empty trash bins and replace liners.
    • High-Touch Areas:
      • Wipe down and disinfect high-touch surfaces such as locker handles, light switches, and door handles.
    • Mirrors:
      • Clean and wipe down mirrors in locker rooms and bathrooms.
    • Floor Mats:
      • Shake and clean mats in gym areas or locker rooms.

    • Deep Cleaning:
      • Schedule periodic deep cleaning for areas that need extra attention, such as vents, ducts, and behind large furniture.

    • Frequency of Cleaning:
      • Daily Cleaning: Classrooms, hallways, restrooms, and common areas are cleaned daily.
      • Weekly Cleaning: Offices, gymnasiums, and staff rooms may be cleaned weekly or bi-weekly, depending on use.
      • Periodic Deep Cleaning: Carpet cleaning, floor stripping/waxing, and high dusting of vents and lights should be scheduled on a monthly or quarterly basis.
    • Waste Management:
      • Ensure all waste is disposed of in an environmentally responsible manner, and recycling is encouraged throughout the school.
    • Safety:
      • All cleaning processes will be done according to safety standards, with proper PPE worn at all times, and with clear signage to indicate freshly cleaned areas.
